We are pleased to invite labour economists from all over the world to submit papers for presentations at the EALE/SOLE/AASLE World Meeting in 25-27 June 2020.

We are very happy to announce the opening of the registration of the virtual (online) EALE/SOLE/AASLE conference, which will take place on June 25-27. The event will use multiple digital formats to foster scientific interaction and discussions. The event will engage many senior labor economists who have enthusiastically offered networking sessions and who will act as scientific chairs for parallel sessions. Michael Keane, Jessica Pan, Erik Plug and Petra Todd will hold keynotes. Overall, we are excited how positive the feedback is in the community to maintain academic exchange during these times.

You can find more specific information on the website at http://www.eale.nl/eale-sole-aasle-world-conference-2020-2/, which will be regularly updated with details on the event. The detailed program will be available by June 1.

Please note that we are aware that time zone differences of participants are a major challenge for an international virtual event. Be assured that we will take account of this when putting the program together.

If you have already registered and paid your registration fee for the in-person conference, please confirm by answering to eale-sbe@maastrichtuniversity.nl indicating whether you want to participate in the virtual conference. You will be refunded for the fee difference, or fully (should you decide to not participate).

The virtual conference fees are:
· Regular participants € 100,--
· PhD-students: € 50,--

Note that participation in the online EALE SOLE AASLE World conference 2020 requires your individual membership of either one of the societies for this year. You can find further information on AASLE membership here: https://www.aasle.org/berlin2020-membership

The global pandemic and subsequent cancellation of the physical conference have put the societies organizing this conference under financial pressure. If you already registered at the original rate and are able to afford that fee, we would greatly appreciate you letting us know and we will gratefully use that money to defray these losses. If you have not yet registered, note that we maintain the possibility to register at one of the standard (supporting) fees. Again, your support is highly appreciated.

We are working hard to make EALE/SOLE/AASLE2020 a big success, and we are excited to explore new formats for scientific exchange and discourse.
